I have restored this sled. Completely cleaned fuel tank, installed new fuel filter, new pump gaskets, rebuilt carb, etc... Put it all back together and I can spray fuel into carb and it will run. The info that I have ( Intertec Snowmobile Service Manual 9th edition) does not show that Merc made a model 250 in '69 ( only 220's). In 1970, they made models 250E, 250M, 250ER. In 1971 they just made 1 model of the 250, called simply a Merc 250. Therefore, I would likely guess that you have a 1970...

Looking for a rear taillight lens for a '70 250. Also, a front bumper for the same sled.

Does anyone have info on a single place trailer Mercury put thier name on in the late 60's and maybe early 70's. The trailer was a tilt drive on unit that allowed one to swivel the top and tilt to drive the sled off the front. I have the chance to purchase one of these in good shape. Stored indoors....
