Scoot Piston

Sold one the begining of this season but I recently saw one sold on Ebay for a very reasonable price- keep checking. There is also a shop in N.H. who has a ton of scoot parts and I think he may have one. I think the shop name is Freedom Cycles (not sure)-Good Luck

Both are in excellent shape but I am currently replacing the piston rings on the electric start due to low compression. I was also able to buy a new in box track from a local yamaha dea...

A yamaha mechanic told me that these small 2 strokes may need frequent re-boring of cylinder( every 30-40 hrs). Has anyone had any experiences with this and does anyone know what a good compression reading should be? I had trouble with one scoot last weekend and a compression test only showed 25psi....

On the side of the snoscoot carb is an electrical switch (called a carburetor switch on the microfiche). It is a small black piece with wires. Do all scoots have this? Can anyone tell me what this switch is supposed to do??

Thanks
MIke V.
