Re: 76 440 Sno Twister clutching help

I have the same setup and I'm going through this right now trying to catch my buddy's 76 440 SRX. I got a set of the adjustable clutch weights from HP performance and the secondary is wound pretty tight. I should know this weekend how it works, I'll let you know the settings. Dave

76 S/T water pump

Does anyone know if the 76 S/T 44o RLC water pump can be rebuilt? My bearing is bad but it doesn't leak. :(

76S/T VS 76 SRX

Can someone point me in the right direction on clutching a 76 S/T for a 1000 ft drag on ice. My buddy's 76 SRX stays with me out of the hole and then pulls 3 sled lengths on me in mid range. I have more top end with 22 tooth top gear but I still can't catch him. I'm running a stock secondary and a 1...

I would try a yellow spring with c weights in your 102c. I use a yellow spring with c weights with a milled notch for a dump weight of about 5500 rpm ingagment. 8000 is way too high for what your doing. Dave

Hi Greg, I put a enticer rubber track on my 440 s/t. It works fine. I got an extra set of drive sprockets from Image, and filed them down to match the drive lugs of the track. You also have to widen the slide suspension a little to match the track clips and move the spockets on the drive shaft to ma...
