Headlight/Taillight Not Working

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing my headlight and taillight to not work on my Sno Scoot? I've already replaced the coil/pulser and just replaced the rectifier and they still do not work. I've verified the bulbs are good and what's strange is the brake light works; just no...

How much for the choke cable? I actually only need the plastic nut that holds the choke lever to the dash but unfortunately you have to buy the entire cable from Yamaha to get the nut. Edit: I just checked the Yamaha Parts Schematic and it appears the Sno Sport and Sno Scoot used different choke cab...

Link to download Service Manual for Sno Scoot

Saw this on another forum and thought I would pass it along. Just click the download button; it's approx. 32MB. Hope it's not a problem to post this link.

jhje, that would make sense but what I don't understand is that the only way I was able to bring down the idle was by turning the pilot screw further out than 7/8 turns; like 2-1/2 turns out. In all the previous years, I've always used the 7/8 setting but as I stated earlier the only thing I did dif...

Without actually going through the parts schematics line by line, I wouldn't know the differences either. When I did view the part schematics for both machines, there were some parts that were used interchangeably (ie. needle valve assembly, float, etc) but then there were other parts that were tota...

I have a used carb off a Sno Scoot. Just replaced the main nozzle and choke plunger. Let me know if this will work (ie. compatible with the Sport) and you're interested.

Any ideas guys? Rather than have you attempt to answer all those questions, does anyone know why the Scoot would idle up when adjusting the starter cable linkage to lower the starter plunger?

Sweet looking setup. How much would that setup cost; assuming I would need skis and spindle adapter?

I too was looking for a set of plastic skis but ended up locating some Yamaha 4.5" wide plastic ski skins. Although I did have to trim some excess length off at the rear which meant cutting off the curved lip, it hasn't been a problem (not like the Scoot has reverse) and steers so much easier f...

Sno Scoot Carb Issue

Every year I take off the carb to disassemble and clean but this year after doing so, the Scoot doesn't seem to run right. It will idle fine but when accelerating it seems to want to bog down at higer RPMs. I've had the carbs and jets disassembled twice now and have ensured the jets are clean. I'm t...

Cory, thanks but it was the least I could do considering the information I have gathered from this site. Let me know if you have any questions or run into problems during your track swap. Something to consider while the track and suspension are out (espeically if you're like me and don't want to hav...

Exactly what are you looking for? I have a repair/service manual for the Sno Scoot but wasn't sure if anything in there is what you were wanting.
