I don't know why the SR would be any less reliable than the bogie suspended machines but... I have run a 75 sr for several hundred miles and it seemed fine. I have run my 73 440 max for many thousands of miles and its never left me walking.... yet:-) The CCW/KEC motors are good, they use them in ult...

The 440 ccw was used in the 73-75 model years. The first were kec-440-21's and later they used kec-440-22's Some parts will interchange but others will not. replace track (hints ??)

Are there any tricks to change a track? I'm working on lightning and 440 mx bogie tracked machines. I had to remove the driven clutch, chain and case, bumper, lower cowl, right side bearing support, etc. Is there an easier way to go or is this just a huge pain in the !$# ??

Thanks

BTW do you know of any one that makes a replacement seat cover for them they look very simple to recover the base the...

Seems unlikely that it's the crank seal that takes 30 min of running to start to cause problems. Check the spark when it will not restart, and see if it's still sparking. If it is, then give it a snort of ether and see if it pops over. That way you will know if it's an ignition or carb problem.. how...

I would like to have a good parts source too for the hard parts. It appears that some parts will interchange with some JD parts and there seems to be a better supply of them than CCW merc parts out there.
