Re: Best price for Sno Scoot track, $550 shipped?

I have always purchase parts from Yamaha Sports Plaza (track is $524.24). They always seem to have the best prices. When purchasing a large part like this, I would call them and ask if I can use a corporate shipping account. This way you get billed the actual rate at a corp. discount. You would need...

Re: SnoScoot/SnoSport- Battery not staying charged/kick star

that's great to hear!
My kids rode once and there really wasn't enough snow - I just couldn't say no after they had been waiting so long.
Here it is Feb and it was 50 degrees on Monday. :(

Re: C&A ski mounts

BB500,
Do you have a CAD drawing or sketch of the mounts?
Can you please provide a close up photo? It would save us redesigning the wheel.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: C&A ski mounts

That's a good deal. The reason why the C&A skis need to be cut, is due to how high the plastic sits above the mount hole. This area will hit the ski bump stops when the ski pivots up and down going over uneven terrain. I am going to try to make my saddles higher so the spindle mounting hole is a...

Re: C&A ski mounts

I have not done this yet, however, I plan to use the PowerMadd mini skis. You can get a set for around $100. You would need to fab up a saddle to make them fit. I still need to confirm the dimensions. I'm sure the C&A skis with the Scoot kit work well, however, they are WAY to expensive ($400) t...

Re: Headlight/Taillight Not Working

More often than not it, on these old machines, it is a grounding issue. Use a tester and find a good ground on the engine then see if you have power at either the head light or tail light. If not, then keep going back until you can find power. Test the hi/lo dimmer also. The fact that you have brake...

Re: Sno scoot electronic shop manual

I just noticed that the link to the E manual no longer works.
If anyone needs an Electronic Version of the SnoScoot Manual I can send it over skype or some other large file sending service.
Its 31MB

Re: SnoScoot/SnoSport- Battery not staying charged/kick star

Bstat- I have two Scoots and had the same issue with both of them. It would take sometimes 50 kicks and then run great all day. In both cases it came down to dirty carbs. I cleaned them dozens of times before the problem went away. One of my Scoots was in someones backyard for 10 years before I got ...

Re: Looking for a good Sno-scoot mechanic in Michigan

What are your symptoms? I have two and mange to get them both running perfectly. 90% of the problems with these things is carburetion. The carb is so small that it is often difficult to get it clean after multiple attempts.

Re: Little hose on top of carb?????

You are right, it is definitely not shown anywhere.
However, I just purchased a new carb from Yamaha and it comes with it already installed. Sorry, I can't tell you exactly what it's purpose is - some kind of breather. I never messed with it since it runs so well.
