The easiest way to tell a '75 T/T from a '76 is the '75 will have a blue decal on the hood under the headlight. If I was going to buy a new clutch for a 440 T/T it would be a Gold Magnum Quick Shift. I have put over 1000 miles on mine through all kinds of trail conditions including grass drags, snow...

Make sure carbs are clean your running 35 pilot jets & 270 mains, e-clip should be in 4th slot from top. These are winter specs and will run rich in warm temps. You don't want to be running lean at low rpm's, this could lead to meltdown. Jeff

Stock gearing for the '75 T/T is 17/34 & 18/34 for the '76. In my race T/T I run 92 octane and in my daily drivers '75 & '76 both with timing set to '76 spec's (.080 bdtc) I run 87 octane. Now the silencer in the exhaust, thats a good question I was wondering about myself.

79 mph that's great, let us know how you do with the 440Z set up, I have been running a Quick Shift Gold Magnum driver with a stock nos Arctic driven but putting together a rebuilt A/C hex to try with a green spring. Do you have to go to a longer drive chain for the 19 gear? Mine's rebuilt to with a...

Good question, I recently went to small drivers and only had a little testing on bean stubble before I raced it (snow drags) last weekend. With th 18 top gear which is stock and the largest I have I was concerned from testing results I would run out of gear on 660 ft since the belt was going right u...

The early '75 T/T's with the centre headlight had issues with debris being sucked into the airbox, the offset headlight grill was a no charge upgrade.

I'm definately not an expert on this subject (or anything really) but try switching the wires that go to the coils. If that makes no differance switch them back and check all wires coming out of engine to cdi. You might have a wonky trigger. JM

I'm not sure S/T spec's but I'm guessing it should idle around 3000 rpm, to low idle will make it rich. Jeff
