This sled was found in a barn in 2003, still in its original crate. It has been ridden the last four winters and has used 4 tanks of gas. The probem is that the guy stripped the heads on many of the fasteners, as being wrapped in plastic for 30+ years leads to condensation and corrosion. I'd like to...

I just got off the phone with Bob at Image Enterprises. I ordered a NOS track for a 71 Lightning, $135.00 plus shipping. Can't go wrong.

I would imagine someone replaced the poly one with a fibreglass reproduction. One of my 75 ST has a glass one that the owner made himself after smashing the plastic original. Wasn't a bad effort but not a very good fit.

Sorry guys, I should have done some rechecking before posting. I purchased a 75 SnoTwister about 4 yrs ago and the owner had replaced the track and suspension with units from one of the early Phazers, 84-89. My understanding was that it was the same size track and it looks normal on the sled. I also...

Tracks are 2.52 x 46 116" same as some of the late 70s early 80s Yamahas used. They are available through aftermarket suppliers.

I'm looking for a nice mag-side pipe for a 75 440 SnoTwister. Has to be for the 440 as the 340/400 is different. Thanks.

That was used on the early production 75 TT but was later changed. I assume to either allow more direct airflow to the motor, or possibly for tooling purposes as the ST was offset. I don't know how many where produced before they changed to the offset light, but until I bought one I didn't know they...

Did the 74 SnoTwister not have a serial number stamped anywhere? I just picked one up and it has no stamping on the tunnel, no tag, nothing. He forgot to give me the ownership but the serial number he gave me in an email was the one from the engine. This was a race-sled so probably had manufacturers...

$400.00!! Grab it if it is in the condition you describe. Parts are still relatively easy to come by, especially for the TT. Grab the 74 ST also as they are getting very scarce.

I use a puller designed to pull the hex clutch, you can get them through Dennis Kirk or other shops. I made my own puller for the flywheel but you can get hub pullers that can be modified. I used a piece of steel plate with a 1/2" bolt through the centre and holes that line up with the holes th...

I know the free-air Kohler has a rubber gasket to seal the cases but I can't remember whether the fan motors use one. I use gasket maker on both motors.

My Merc outboard dealer says the coils are still available and Scott can hook you up with a Hewtech CDI.
