I think I can source cylinders, pistons and heads for a 440. Not sure about the carbs and intake though.
Sorry I confused myself...LOL.

I would keep it 340 you won't have to recalibrate the clutch either.

Re: 340 to 440 conversion

Is it worth doing, or should I keep it original? What top speed can I expect from a fresh 340? Depending upon your weight it will be up to 15 mph slower and have less balls off the line. 340 parts might be easier to come by than 440 engine parts but could be more costly overall as you have to acqui...

Re: 340 to 440 conversion

Hi all, new to the site I recently aquired a 76 trail twister with low compression on the pto side (95 lbs). A little scuffing on the piston sides and some flaking of the cylinder. I'd like to know if the bottom half (cases and crank shaft) are the same for both the 340 and 440. I believe the strok...

Re: Secondary clutch sheave

If it is original equipment and/or using the original jackshaft it is a slide on fit with a long square key. Put the penetrating oil to it and let it sit. You can also use heat (I use a bernzomatic for plumbing as you don't really want more than that). Then get a 4 foot 2x4 and give it a couple of s...

I would be interested in a set of mounts.

Nice fairing around the light. What is that off of.

Re: Drive Belt Info 250 ER

2 issues with the 1035. It can be found considerably cheaper elsewhere and The MAX1035 is the closest size that Dayco makes to the Merc belt. Is is not an exact clone and has a tendency to slip as it is a little bit bigger than the Merc. Make sure you adjust the chaincase concentric after installing...

There are no Liquid Sno-Twister manuals on that site.

And Mike...If you are going to shamelessly promote your site at least let everyone know what you are doing. LOL!

The 250RLC cylinders will bolt to the K4402AS base. While it will fit and work the parts are not identical.
