I have four Scoots. Two black cover electric starts, and two red cover kick only start. All run and in excellent to good shape. Plan on selling one here soon as I get some pics taken. Older two kids want to ride Phazers instead of Scoot. Yes, we have taken them on the trails. Bullhead, I hope your t...

You can purchase Sno Scoot tracks (again) from Yammy dealer. They are around $430.

The transmission takes 7 oz. of Yamalube or SAE Type SE 10W30 Motor oil. I would not add to what is in there, I would drain all the old out and put all new oil in.

The pilot screw on top of carb is to be out 7/8 turn, you may need to go to 1 1/2 out, each Scoot runs different. Float setting is set with carb upside down. From base of carb to top of float it should be .57 to .65". Choke idle setting?...I don't know what you are asking here. Idle screw on ca...

This carb switch, replaces the old tether switch. It will prevent the sled from starting if throttle is open, if your thumb is not pressing it. In other words, the sled can't be started and take then off by itself if throttle would "freeze" open. Yes, all Scoots came with this switch.

The rubber cover is to keep out dirt, belt dust, etc. Yes the sled will run without it, but the clutch roller will get flat spots on them because of dirt, and then they will not roll up and down the ramps like they are designed to. Yes, it should be replaced.

Check the fuel pump. You should be able to take it apart, and there may be some dirt or something in it. You should be able to reuse the same gaskets.

I would take off the carb and clean it. It sounds like the main nozzel may be dirt. There are three jets in carb that need to be cleaned. Take off float bowl and they are all there, one is under rubber plug. Make sure you use a very good screwdriver for the (center) main nozzel or you may round off ...

The needle and seat....if the needle's tip is rubber and has any disformation on it is is no good. The needle and seat can be bought from a Yammy dealer. The bigger problem (usually) is to get the 3 jets clean, and also that the rubber plug get put back in the correct hole (location). Clean the jets...
