heated grips????

I noticed that I cant seem to find any pics to compare mine to, but my 76 440 trail twister has heated grips. the red switch for them is on the throttle side of the dash where the gauges are mounted. now I saw another dash for sale somewhere and it had the same hole drilled in the same place....was this actually stock, or was it originally a switch for something else that was reused. any thoughts anyone?? any pics would be great too

my 76 TT had a kill switch mounted there. I don't know if that was added or not but it is in the same location.
