Scott Start/Runs Fine but No Power Under Load
Scott Start/Runs Fine but No Power Under Load
Have a Scoot that starts and runs great until it is put under a load. If you hold the brake a bit, it never reves up. Same deal when you ride it. Just never turns up like it should. Carb is clean as is the whole fuel delivery system. Runs perfect all the way up through the RPM range on a jack stand. I am guessing something in the drive train but have never replaced a belt , clutch ... and am looking for some place to start.

Pull off starter case ,remove rear clutch (one nut and o-ring)Pull off front clutch (one nut )need a good tug to get it loose.Remove and check drive belt.Turn front clutch over and remove 3 phillips screws ,open clutch and look at weights .If they have flat spots ,then they need replacing and should cure your problem
