Everything is working great now on my Scoot. Finally got the choke fixed, cleaned the carb, and runs like a champ.
However, in going through the annual maintenance, manual suggests draining and replacing crank case oil. Even with the microfiche drawings, I can't locate the drain and fill plugs.
So where are they located?????????
Thanks,

Dumb Question - Where is crankcase oil drain on Scoot???
Re: Dumb Question - Where is crankcase oil drain on Scoot???
On the small engine I believe that the the whole assembly / case is considered to be the "crankcase" - the oil to be drained / changed is the gear oil - back left hand side ais the fill / dipstick and drain bolt under. Its a 2 stroke so there is no oil in the base.
Re: Dumb Question - Where is crankcase oil drain on Scoot???
No drain for crankcase oil, it is a 2-stroker not a 4-stroker. Do you mean tranny case oil replacement? If yes, there is a drain plug (bolt) in bottom of case left side, I think it is 8mm or 10mm headed bolt. The fill plug is on left side in back on belt cover by frame, I believe it is 17mm head bolt. e me an I can send location photo. Replace with Yamalube 4 or 10W30 motor oil, .21 qut, .2L or 7 ounces.
