Sno Scoot skis

Anyone put plastic skis on one of these. Got a little warm yesterday and the metal skis got froze up with snow and ice on them, turning them into a big brake. I think plastic skis would be a great improvment. The ones on there now are 36 inches long. Any ideas?

I put plastic runners on both of my kids scoots and they work great.
