Trail Twister Tachometer

Post by SteveK »

I just broke the glass on my '76 T/T 440 tach when the recoil snapped back and hit it. I pulled the tach out hoping the chrome bezel would unthread and allow for a simple replacment, but that does not appear to be the case. Does anyone know if the glass can be replaced, or if there are vendors out there that can do it? Second question - if it is new tach time, did other sled manufacturers use the same tach? It looks a little more 'generic' than the tach on my S/R, no merc insignias etc. - that way i could broaden my search. Thanks for the help!

Look for a 12-pole tach...same as on RUPP's from 75, Ski-Roules, Boa-Ski's (any Kohler engine w/Prestolite ignition)
