Severe bogging after 1 hour.

I have a 1976 340 T/T. It runs fantastic for about an hour and then bogs severly. I let it cool down for a day and the cycle repeats. Any suggestions? It's a real pain. That first hour is great though!

I think your cly may be worn out they seem to loos comp when they get hot i have had that problem with some of my other sleds. try to re ring it my help.

Measure the hi-speed stator winding...BLUE wire coming out of the engine w/CDI removed. Measure from engine crankcase to BLUE & should be 76-ohms....check COLD & WARM...I bet it's changing! Basically, your Stator is failing....
