76 440 Sno Twister clutching help

Postby muskiecast » Tue Jan 19, 2010 8:02 pm

Setting up a 1976 440 Sno Twister (stock).
Was wondering if anyone had a good baseline to start with. I am using a Comet 102 for the primary and the stock Artic for the secondary.
Sled will be used to go as fast as possible in 500 feet.
Any help with the
Spring
Ramps
Secondary tension
Etc.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

I have the same setup and I'm going through this right now trying to catch my buddy's 76 440 SRX. I got a set of the adjustable clutch weights from HP performance and the secondary is wound pretty tight. I should know this weekend how it works, I'll let you know the settings. Dave
