I would appreciate any help that I can get on setting up a Comet clutch for my 75 440 S/T. Has full mod cylinders and I was told that I need to spin it at 10000 rpm and engage at 6000 rpm. Is this true, and how do I do it. I run a very short oval track in the winter with it. Thanks Dean

Dean, clutching for 75 440 S/T Comet 6000rpm eng--- 10,000 rpm shift
Just gave this to another guy,
Start with Polaris Cam-Arm K-1 39gr. Part#5630144 grind engament flat to a hight of .300 up from center of pivot hole tapering out to .875" from pivot hole flush with curve of Cam-Arm. Grind off bottom side at a taper from middle of arm out to toe to 35.5gr Depending on your sled you could end up anywhere between 32gr-35.5gr, watch the tack.
Getting the right curve is tricky, I've had to grind a more agressive curve and then grind down to - 32--35.5gr
Good Luck
Spring: Comet Yel/Grn Part# 208228A Or Comet Gold Part# 208175A
