low beam burned out and high seems bright on a Trail-Twister. Could this be a sign of a faulty voltage regulator? The manual is a little vague on this topic. TIA Jeff
Quite possible it's the regulator, but look closer at grounds, especially the engine to chassis wire to/from the harness. Without that, voltage can "float" then intermitent contact can cause a hi-current & burn bulbs.
Thanks Scott, the e/c ground was corroded and the coating brittle but still blew out bulbs after I replaced it. Put a kimpex voltage regulator #01-154-15 on (attach black wire to reg. mounting bolt) and have not had any problems in 160 of miles of fun on the snow. Jeff
