Secondary Clutch
Could someone explain how the secondary clutch spring functions? I have a 1972 Lightning that is losing the power between the motor and the track. When the track is off the ground the belt falls down into place on both clutches like it should, but when on the ground it doesn't move any. Could it be that the secondary clutch spring is shot and not keeping enough tension on the belt? I don't have any manuals or other information to go by as to what adjustments can be made, (dis)assembly procedures, etc. Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!
