Champion N19V's

I have NOS available. $4 each.

Mercury/Kohler have always strongly recommended surface gap plugs.

is there any problems that might occur running NGK plugs? either one run better or worse? need to get some plugs for mine so I can recheck my jetting with CLEAN plugs. just need to know what ones to pick up at the hardware store :)

B9 ES over the recommended surface gap plugs? Dad had a 440 T/T and he used NGK BUE which barely ever fouled after idling and I guess that was the best thing about them so he says. I have 2 L/C Rupps that use the same plug.

BUE plugs are what the aftermarket "books" suggest for the K340 & K4402AS, as well as the K340 & K4402RS engines. They are the closest thing made by NGK to the correct heat range plug...the original spec. Which is the N-19V. The only thing better for the motor was the original "precious metal" plug the Champion N55G.

Champs are hard to come by. NGK's can be had but they don't match exactly...but the the BUE is better than the hanging electrode plug the B9ES.
