So thanks to Bill i was able to figure out the mess of a wiring harness i had and recreate it...however im still not getting a spark through a spark plug, if i run a wire from the coil to a ground source i can get an extremely tiny spark at a distance of .000001mm..haha you get t...

I went to autozone and asked them if i could look at all there starters in the back (told them why and all) and went through easily a hundred until i found a ring gear that matched/engage distants/ Diameter/ rotation direction, and after a little grinding and ingenuity it works great...

yeah, i sent an email about a week and half ago asking if you had a carb rebuild kit as well as a wiring diagram for the 398, but i just got a "message return" message or somthing like it didnt go through......i want to get this thing wired up so i know if it runs or if i need new ignition...
