i own a s/r 340 and i just rebuilt the carb and engine. it has brand new spark plugs but no spark. my coils are rusty counld this be my problem?

my s/r 340 has just had the carb rebuilt and the pistons are fine. the clutch is in good condition as well. and brand new ngk irriduim spark plugs. its has no spark though. The coils are somewhat coroded and rusted. could this cause the problem?

MY S/R 340 HAS NO SPARK. MY COILS ARE RUSTY AND OLD. SHOULD I CHANGE THEM AND DO YOU THINK IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
