trade my john deere liquifire for a sno twister
Hello I am very new to merc sleds and this forum. I found a 74 sno twister 340, the guy may want to trade my 83 jd LF for it. My concern is there is no information on this sled anywhere was there a 340 in 74, how hard are parts to find. Thanks sled

There was no 1974 model year 340 Sno-Twister....However all 1975 340 Free air Sn0-Twisters were produced in the late summer/fall of 1974 for the 1975 model year. So if the production date is 1974 it is probably a 75. There are many other significant differences between the 1974 and 1975, Easiest to distinguish is the hood grill, frame length, and suspension.sledneck5454 wrote:Hello I am very new to merc sleds and this forum. Due to the fact that the 1974 Kohler 400 was prone to grenading, Mercury had an exchange program for 1975 where you could trade your 74 400 motor for a 75 340 motor. You used the 400 carbs and pipes and away you went.
