I just completed a track change on my snoscoot. In the process I needed to disconnect the oil lines going into the oil pump.
I have never done this before and I have read lots of discussions about oil pumps on other machines and having to bleed them once you disconnect the oil lines. Is this the case for the snoscoot? How do I bleed the oil lines? How do I know that the oil is getting to where it needs to go? How do I know that I might need to bleed the oil lines?
Thanks for the help!
Oil Pump Help
Re: Oil Pump Help
There is a philips head screw on the oil pump. Remove this screw, watch out, there is a gasket under this screw also. Oil should run out, when air bubbles stop coming out it should be bleed properly.
Re: Oil Pump Help
Alright, I found the screw and did not loose the gasket. I let it bleed for about 5 mins, there did not appear to be any air bubbles coming out. It was a nice slow flow the whole time.
Does this mean I can start the scoot and be good!
